Infinity: Sogorat w/HMG

Here is the latest addition to my Morat Aggression Force army. This dude is always one of my go to troops in game so I thought he deserved a paintjob after taking to the field as a silver monstrosity one too many times.

I am very happy with how he turned out. Most of my Morats are fairly colorful, but I wanted this guy to look darker and little more ominous as is fitting for the most elite regiment in the army.

I'll have to snap a group pic of these guys after I finish the next one.

Abandoned factory WIP

A while back I saw a bunch of resin terrain (cant remember where) for sale online that I really loved, but it just so happens to be out of my price range, so I thought I would use it as inspiration to make some of my own similar stuff.

Here are some pics of the factory I have been creating. Each stone block is cut individually from pink foam so it is not a fast process at all.
I'm thinking when its done, it ought to fit great in Malifaux, Warmachine, Confrontation and RPG games.

The beginning of the blocks being added to the main foam core structure.

The wood under structure that would be exposed where blocks had fallen off.

More blocks and the wooden surround under the roof eves.
First fully blocked in side.

Added the doorway using square balsa dowels and a ramp to the door with a pink foam wedge.

Completed front and blocked steps.

Added a cellar entrance and a boiler to the corner of the structure. Boiler was made with a DIY Christmas ornament.

Added small tacs to the slats for more details.

Beginning of the roof

Roof tiles glued into place.

A light on inside?.....perhaps its not abandoned after all!  Mwahaha!!

Just a few more details to add and it will be time to paint this big old bugger. Stay tuned and thanks for looking!

Dark Age: Jon Woe

Well, you never saw WIP's of this fig because he is not a paint job of mine. A couple of friends and I decided to do a fig swap and paint each others small based fig of choice. I picked Jon Woe for my buddy John to paint.

I was super stoked when I got mine back! Such a cool use of colors and great overall paint work. I asked for an awesome base since he tends to make amazing bases, and I was not disappointed in the slightest!

On the Bench: Super Dungeon Explore and Warmachine

Just a few quick WIP's of what I worked on over the last week.

First up is the new Hero/ mini boss for Super dungeon explore, Ser Snapjaw(Kobold Exemplar).
Decide I wanted this guy to stand out on the game board for some reason. I have really been having a good time working on him.
I painted his helmet in a moment of delusional freehand craziness and almost gave up about half way through. I'm glad I pushed on as I am pleased with the result.

Here he is so far.

Shield.
 And the Helmet.

And now quick shot of Strakhov I am painting for a friend. Not having a good time with this one. Just gotta make it through and get him off my table soon.

Salt City Gladiator Games!

Well folks, I'm excited to inform all of you about the newest premier gaming event in Utah.
 The Salt City Gladiator Games!

http://scgladiatorgames.blogspot.com/

Utah and all of the surrounding states have always lacked a good tabletop gaming convention, so a group of  us locals are out to remedy that.

With Warhammer 40K, Warmachine and Hordes and Magic the gathering rounding out the big events, we will also have Malifaux tournaments, Dark Age events, an Infinity ITS tournament and the Salty Dwarf painting competition.!

Here is a copy and pasted list on the top ten reasons you should attend!

1. Two full days of tabletop gaming
What more can one ask for, right? There isn't an event like this in the state that offers you two great days of having fun with the hobby that you love.

2. Random prizes
Each person who attends one of the events has the opportunity to receive one of the random prizes we'll be giving through out the day.

3. Cash prizes
There will be cash prizes for those who place well in the Warmachine Masters, 40K tournament, and Salty Dwarf Painting Competition.

4. Trophies
We'll have first year trophies for each Warmachine event, 40K, and Salty Dwarf Painting Competition.

5. Meeting new people
This event is looking to gather folks from around the state and a few from surrounding states. A perfect opportunity to meet new people and talk about the hobby.

6. Really great price
Our event is pretty inexpensive to attend and you'll be getting a lot more back in return. Most other events will have you paying $50+ to get in the door plus an added charge for events.

7. Help build the community
This is a community event and we want the community to benefit from most of all. The Salt City Gladiators are non profit and we are working very hard with the local game stores to help build this event into something amazing.

8. Exposure to new games
Our Open Play Area will be available for anyone who wants to bring in a new game to demo or hold a smaller tournament. Right now we have Malifaux and Infinity the Game setting up events.

9. Competitive and non Competitive events
Most people we talk to believe that they'll just get rolled over by super competitive players at this event, but that's not really the case. We'll have players of all skill level and experience at this event and we have events that are not geared toward heavy competitive play. You wont know how good you are unless you attend.

10. Be part of the first year
It's always great to be on the ground floor of something new. Look at how well Salt Lake Comic Con did at their first event. Ten years down the road you can gladly tell your friends that you were there at the Salt City Gladiator Games first year, the year everything changed in the world of tabletop play in Utah.

So Spread the word folks. Make sure and come if you can, this will be an awesome event!

Super Dungeon Explore: Herald Of Vulcanis

Worked on this guy for a long time and just couldnt make myself happy with how he was turning out. I had originally just gone with a black helmet on him and hated it. So, he sat half painted for months.
Brainstorming with some friends one day made me realize that he needed more pop, something to set him aside as a somewhat important character in the games he was used in. Thus, the Lava helmet cam about.
Pretty happy with him now!

Dark Age: Blazon

Found a few minutes to put the finishing touches on this one.  She can now go off to the new owner.
I like how she turned out quite a bit, the little bones on the base(mouse bones) were sort of an afterthought, but I am glad I included them. Helps reinforce the post apocalyptic setting for the fig.

Pics!

On the Bench: Dark Age and Helldorado

Here are a few WIPS I have been throwing some paint at over the last little while.

First up is Blazon for the Skaard faction in Dark Age.
This one is unfortunately not for me. I'm painting it up for a friend who hooked me up with a limited edition fig as payment. She should be done very soon now.

From oldest to most recent.

And Now for MONGO!!
Probably one of my favorite figs of all time.

I am fairly pleased with my homebrew base on this one.

Last in the lineup is Francisco Vargas, for the Westerners in Helldorado.
Freaking love this whole line of figs!

Planning on giving this guy freehand galore if my nerves can handle it. He is rather small.
Again, I am happy with this guys base. Base-building seems to be turning into a whole little side hobby for me.

Let me know what you think of these guys so far. Have any awesome ideas I ought to incorporate into them?
Thanks for having a look!
