Finally put some more time into this guy. After finishing the helmet, I was a little daunted to work on the rest and make it all the same level of detail. As of now, I only have the armor to finish up and I will call him done.<br />
<br />
He definitely stands out on a Super Dungeon Explore board when we play.<br />
I shall make sure to update you as soon as he's all finished. Which I hope will be relatively soon.<br />

Just thought I would show you guys a little update about what I hope to get started on over the winter months.<br />
<br />
Of course, I will always have my standby figs that I work on. Which for the foreseeable future will be Wrath of Kings stuff. My group is also heavily contemplating getting into Guildball. Those figs are freakin sweet, we just need to find a good place to get them as we like to shop local first, if at all possible.<br />
<br />
Now! On to the potential Queue. In no particular order.<br />
<br />
First off would be the awesomeness that is DUST. I finally broke down and bought myself one of the heavy tanks. At first I really wanted the LongTom/ Mobile HQ. But the Bulldog was on sale for a screaming deal, so I got that instead.<br />
<br />
I plan to do a bit of masking and striping on the hull, and then weather it up nice and rusty like the rest of my DUST allies.<br />
Should be a fun and quick project.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o22/scottykahn/WIP%20log/IMG_20151001_122833450_zpsifnrfr2h.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o22/scottykahn/WIP%20log/IMG_20151001_122833450_zpsifnrfr2h.jpg" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o22/scottykahn/WIP%20log/IMG_20151001_124956798_zpsyifqshkz.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o22/scottykahn/WIP%20log/IMG_20151001_124956798_zpsyifqshkz.jpg" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
I bought my first Bones figure to try out as well. I cant believe how bendy they are. I will be surprised if paint will stick at all! Will still try it once though.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o22/scottykahn/WIP%20log/IMG_20151001_113400683_zps7ldjpull.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o22/scottykahn/WIP%20log/IMG_20151001_113400683_zps7ldjpull.jpg" height="640" width="480" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o22/scottykahn/WIP%20log/IMG_20151001_113357355_zpsh8apdsvb.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o22/scottykahn/WIP%20log/IMG_20151001_113357355_zpsh8apdsvb.jpg" height="640" width="480" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
For this next project, I will be going totally against the grain that is the norm for me.<br />
<br />
Historical figures have always been on my Radar. I love the thought of massive battles, with rank upon rank of troops resplendent in their bright colors, with banners waving among the units.<br />
<br />
To that end, I have gotten myself some figs to go in an English Civil war army. Specifically for the Parliaments forces. I had my mind made up to start a Royalist army, but I changed that mid purchase due to the awesome helmets the Parliamentarian forces wear.<br />
<br />
A unit of 12 cavalry will be my start on this HUGE project.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o22/scottykahn/WIP%20log/IMG_20151001_113424298_zpsggwnvjco.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o22/scottykahn/WIP%20log/IMG_20151001_113424298_zpsggwnvjco.jpg" height="640" width="480" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
Following that will be lots and lots of Malifaux. I bought in heavy and really love the figs. The game is a freakin blast as well, if not a touch complicated. I do hate to assemble the figs however. If you haven't had the displeasure of this experience before, watch out!<br />
<br />
The figs are so tiny, and cut up into a million and a half different pieces. Some things such as beards and necklaces are separate pieces, requiring almost surgeon like steadiness to place properly!<br />
I will persevere and see these on the paint bench soon!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o22/scottykahn/WIP%20log/IMG_20151001_113528829_zpsm0ieqx8q.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o22/scottykahn/WIP%20log/IMG_20151001_113528829_zpsm0ieqx8q.jpg" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o22/scottykahn/WIP%20log/IMG_20151001_113546273_zpswsea4zi9.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o22/scottykahn/WIP%20log/IMG_20151001_113546273_zpswsea4zi9.jpg" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o22/scottykahn/WIP%20log/IMG_20151001_113559207_zpshnte4btm.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o22/scottykahn/WIP%20log/IMG_20151001_113559207_zpshnte4btm.jpg" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o22/scottykahn/WIP%20log/IMG_20151001_113617335_zpsyshme5fm.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o22/scottykahn/WIP%20log/IMG_20151001_113617335_zpsyshme5fm.jpg" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<br />
The next thing is something I bought on Impulse. I have been a little jaded on Infinity since the move to 3rd edition and the complete re-sculpt of my army. It felt like a very GW thing to do and I haven't really touched the game since.<br />
My local shop got a bunch of the new starters in, and I got to see some of the new Morats first hand. They were really too cool looking to pass on......<br />
So, I plan to get these assembled and perhaps that will rekindle the fire to learn the new edition and jump back into the game.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o22/scottykahn/WIP%20log/IMG_20151001_113453317_zpsv1cyilng.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o22/scottykahn/WIP%20log/IMG_20151001_113453317_zpsv1cyilng.jpg" height="640" width="480" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
Here is what I have just primed up to start working on. The Wrath of Kings figs will see paint first, and then if I still feel like it, I'll move onto Jake Williams from Wil West Exodus.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o22/scottykahn/WIP%20log/IMG_20151001_113154983_zpszgtx785i.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o22/scottykahn/WIP%20log/IMG_20151001_113154983_zpszgtx785i.jpg" /></a></div>

Got this guy all finished up. He is my first completed Wrath of Kings fig. While I don't think I did a super stellar job, I think he'll do just fine for the table top.<br />
I have since assembled his personal squad of Fel hammers, so he can run them to full effect.<br />

This my next little Rackham, Tir-na-bor dwarf. I absolutely love painting these dudes! So much character and great, crisp detail. Only one more left to complete the squad of three Forge Guardians.<br />
If you haven't ever had the pleasure or painting a Rackham figure, particularly a dwarf (undead or living) I would suggest scouring ebay to find some.<br />

Not much more to say about this little guy. Thanks for checking him out.<br />

Snapped just a few pictures of our league games last night, and thought I'd show all of you!<br />
<br />
I of course, got absolutely smashed by an immovable block of Teknes baddies.<br />
The good name of Nasier was not completely tarnished however, as one of our other players seems to be unstoppable with his.<br />
Goristi faced off against Goritsi last night. From the profanities escaping that corner of the shop, it must have been a complete rout.<br />
Shael Han had a slog of a battle against a another Teknes player, in which it seemed to come down to infantry just trading blows.<br />

A fun night was had by all!<br />

Here are the pics. Slowly more color creeps into our games.<br />

<br />
<br />
Way back when, I got on the Wrath of Kings kickstarter, as I'm sure a lot of you out there in the vast geekosphere did.<br />
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Well, I have recently decided I ought to start assembling, panting and playing with the monstrous horde of figs I received. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
I pledged for the two faction bundle, and Got Goritsi, the vampire/ werewolves, fast and maneuverable faction.</div>
<div>
I also got the Nasier which are the elemental mask wearing loonies. They value martial prowess above all else and hit like a Mac truck. </div>
<div>
I decided the Nasier would be my main faction to start gaming with, and working on.<br />
<br />
<br /></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
I went ahead and started a slow grow league so people in my area could learn the game at an easy pace, but also get up to full on battle size eventually to use all their goodies.<br />
We are currently at week 3 and although the turnout hasn't been amazing, we are having a blast playing the game.<br />
<br />
Okay, nuff said. lets see the WIP's!<br />
I have started by trying to assembly line a 12 strong unit of the Pelegarths, and I've also gotten a good start on a rank 2 leader, Arkan Thesh.<br />

Arkan ought be done very soon now. He is one of my favorite figs in the line. such a creepy vibe going on with him.<br />
<br />
Here are the 12 Pelegarths. I always try to do assembly line....and then I realize...... I HATE ASSEMBLY LINE PAINTING!!<br />

I snagged myself some of the Wargames Factory Skeletons the other day to use as randomly generated monsters for any games we may play, and to possibly use in a Necropolis army for Warlord. <div>
<br /></div>
<div>
the figs on the sprue look so nice, I thought Id show you what comes in the box.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
30 hard plastic figs come in the box for about $20 USD! Deals don't get much better than that.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
the Box art is really awful.....but maybe they wanted it to look like an old claymation film?....</div>
<div>
it's whats inside that counts though, right? :) </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o22/scottykahn/WIP%20log/IMG_20150926_085939677_zpsjd0czidd.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o22/scottykahn/WIP%20log/IMG_20150926_085939677_zpsjd0czidd.jpg" height="480" width="640" /></a></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Looks like every sprue is set up the same. 6 Skeletons with a variety of weapon options and shields.</div>
<div>
Even some broken earth if you'd like your skeletons breaking out of the ground!</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o22/scottykahn/WIP%20log/IMG_20150926_090005158_zpsc8gzmedo.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o22/scottykahn/WIP%20log/IMG_20150926_090005158_zpsc8gzmedo.jpg" height="640" width="480" /></a></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Here is a closeup of the actual skulls. Most skulls on the market are just to cartooney and blocky. I wanted something with a little more realism, as I plan to make a few green stuff press molds to add some skulls into my terrain and bases once in a while. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o22/scottykahn/WIP%20log/IMG_20150926_090019296_TOP_zpshyifge4u.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o22/scottykahn/WIP%20log/IMG_20150926_090019296_TOP_zpshyifge4u.jpg" height="480" width="640" /></a></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Here are the quivers and shields. I don't plan to equip any of my skellies with bows. That has always seemed like too complex a skill for simple undead creatures. Hacking and slashing with swords and spears, yes.......pulling an arrow, nocking said arrow, drawing back and aiming to fire......seems ridiculous to me. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o22/scottykahn/WIP%20log/IMG_20150926_090102242_zpsxo9xv6av.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o22/scottykahn/WIP%20log/IMG_20150926_090102242_zpsxo9xv6av.jpg" height="480" width="640" /></a></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
After all is said and done, this seems to be a great kit. lots of utility here, even if you only pick it up for bits to add to other projects. Like I said, you cant beat the fig to money spent ratio on these guys. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Maybe I can get a few of these painted and ready in time for the Halloween season! </div>

Here is my Lord Carver I painted recently. He was my entry into a local paint competition, in which he took second place in small fig category. I took tons of WIP photos along the way to get feedback from my buddies as I progressed.<br />
So, here is a photo dump from start to finish. Yup, you'll need to scroll all the way to the bottom for finished pics. :)<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
Beginnings of the base. I wanted something suitably epic for him to stand on after all.<br />
So I started off with some Super Sculpey Firm, and stamped it with a rubber stamp I bought a while back. I wanted the floor he was standing on to look like it had once been a palace floor or some such thing.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o22/scottykahn/IMG_20150805_144316114_zpsdgfbx2mj.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o22/scottykahn/IMG_20150805_144316114_zpsdgfbx2mj.jpg" height="480" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
The floor was set up on a few blocks of plaster rubble from said palace.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o22/scottykahn/IMG_20150805_153325644_zps2tarqq3m.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o22/scottykahn/IMG_20150805_153325644_zps2tarqq3m.jpg" height="480" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
Placing Lord Carver on the base to dry fit where he would stand.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o22/scottykahn/IMG_20150805_154255537_zpsc5qre00z.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o22/scottykahn/IMG_20150805_154255537_zpsc5qre00z.jpg" height="480" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
Next I needed to add some growing things to give it the look like Nature was slowly taking over what structure was left.<br />
fortunately I live within yards of a mountain side, and can find all sort of basing and terrain goodies up there.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o22/scottykahn/IMG_20150805_163339925_zpsm6lror3a.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o22/scottykahn/IMG_20150805_163339925_zpsm6lror3a.jpg" height="640" width="480" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o22/scottykahn/IMG_20150805_163342900_zpsol1wihiw.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o22/scottykahn/IMG_20150805_163342900_zpsol1wihiw.jpg" height="640" width="480" /></a></div>
<br />
On one trip up the mountain I found a certain type of tall weed. I really dont have the slightest idea what it was but it had great little leaf shaped seed pods. I attached them to the trunk with some superglue. I kept the foliage pretty sparse as I didnt want to make this seem like a super healthy tree.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o22/scottykahn/IMG_20150805_172443985_zpsoe13w4wt.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o22/scottykahn/IMG_20150805_172443985_zpsoe13w4wt.jpg" height="640" width="480" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
And the paint begins. first with just some mid town grays. and I then started glazing in some purples and teals to give it a darker cold look.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o22/scottykahn/IMG_20150805_223153066_zpseeqihrck.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o22/scottykahn/IMG_20150805_223153066_zpseeqihrck.jpg" height="640" width="480" /></a><a href="http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o22/scottykahn/IMG_20150805_213434445_zpsnznfvsnn.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o22/scottykahn/IMG_20150805_213434445_zpsnznfvsnn.jpg" height="640" width="480" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
Next was some highlights to the gray and I started adding some mossy junk all over the place. Plys a mouse bone as that seemed fitting for a fig called the carver...<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o22/scottykahn/IMG_20150807_231614440_zpsgvwl00dh.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o22/scottykahn/IMG_20150807_231614440_zpsgvwl00dh.jpg" height="640" width="480" /></a></div>
<br />
Onto Lord Carver himself.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o22/scottykahn/IMG_20150809_162810919_zps3u0dqgqj.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o22/scottykahn/IMG_20150809_162810919_zps3u0dqgqj.jpg" height="640" width="480" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
<br />
Started working the metals on him. This is my favorite part ot do by far.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o22/scottykahn/IMG_20150814_144447613_zpsven1z0zk.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o22/scottykahn/IMG_20150814_144447613_zpsven1z0zk.jpg" height="640" width="480" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
<br />
<br />
Here he is just about finished. Just need to attach him to the base really.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o22/scottykahn/IMG_20150816_114413443_zpskvt58w7m.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o22/scottykahn/IMG_20150816_114413443_zpskvt58w7m.jpg" height="640" width="480" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
And onto the finished piece before I took him to the competition. I am pretty happy with how he turned out. Definitely excited to paint some more pigs and possibly even get a little playable force. </div>

Finally finished up another couple of figs for my Malifaux, Outcasts. I really cant get enough of these figs. Sometimes my eyes have other thoughts though, because some of these figs are especially tiny!<br />

Here are my student of Conflict, Taelor and my first of three Ronin..<br />

<br />
<br />
<br />
Hey folks, long time no see.<br />
Decided I would show you what I have been conjuring up at the paint desk lately. Although ti has not been much, I must confess.<br />
<br />
Somewhere along the line, X-Wing has caught my attention. "But X wing Minis are pre painted!" I hear some of you yell.<br />
<br />
Well, just because something is already painted doesn't mean it shouldn't receive a better paint job, now does it?!!<br />
No? I agree.<br />
<br />
Of course, Rebels are the flavor I have started with. The thought of playing Imperials makes me feel all dirty....<br />
<br />
<br />
Here are the first few ships that have seen a paint reboot for my fleet.<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
First to get the treatment....a Z-95<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o22/scottykahn/FB_IMG_1441730630331_zpsnpqh7g6n.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o22/scottykahn/FB_IMG_1441730630331_zpsnpqh7g6n.jpg" height="640" width="480" /></a></div>
<br />
Next up is my A wing<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o22/scottykahn/FB_IMG_1441730593738_zpskhqp0pdf.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o22/scottykahn/FB_IMG_1441730593738_zpskhqp0pdf.jpg" height="640" width="480" /></a></div>

<br />
<br />
<br />
An X wing.....which really doesnt look a whole lot different, because well, Luke needs a ship damn it!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o22/scottykahn/IMG_20150818_195042909_zpsj3ao3ghy.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o22/scottykahn/IMG_20150818_195042909_zpsj3ao3ghy.jpg" height="640" width="480" /></a></div>

<br />
<br />
Last and most definitely least....my Bwing. Not a fan of how he turned out but he will stay as he is.<br />
<br />

Here is Drago, the monstrous, red, killing machine in all his finished glory!<br />
<br />Super glad to finally be striking this commission off of my to do list. I'm glad I got started on him since it gave the motivation I needed to bust out my airbrush. Really didn't want to paint and highlight all that red armor with a brush.<br />

Been making a bit of progress here and there on a few figs lately.<br />
Once I get these first two ladies finished, I'll have made a sizable dent in my Outcasts crew. Hope to have them all finished by mid March at the latest, so I can play fully painted a an upcoming tourney.<br />

Next up is a Drago commission that has been sitting as black primer way
too long. I'm just slingin paint as fast as I can on this one to help clear out my
backlog. His armor was my first crack at using an airbrush......I like
how it turned out okay, but I will be less conservative with my
highlight mixing next time. It was made fairly obvious to me that big
step ups in color are required to get the desired look.<br />

Well, I have a couple more Malifaux figs finally completed. I have really been enjoying all aspects of this game, from reading the fluff and painting the beautiful figures, to actually playing the game- an oddity for me for sure. <br />
<br />
I am slowly chipping away at the Outcasts/Viktorias crew I like to run, though it is a slow process for me.<br />
First, I have a desperate Mercenary, who was really one of the main Reasons I got into the game. He is the one from the cover of the core rulebook, and just looks freakin awesome! I decided since I loved the artwork on the book so much, that I would try and pain the figure as close as possible to match.<br />
Black has always been a rough color for me to paint and highlight, but I am happy with how he turned out. Obviously I still have room for improvement but I'll get there. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o22/scottykahn/IMG_20150201_154409532_zpsqfxvr9r9.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o22/scottykahn/IMG_20150201_154409532_zpsqfxvr9r9.jpg" height="480" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o22/scottykahn/IMG_20150201_154440449_zpsd3ap3upb.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o22/scottykahn/IMG_20150201_154440449_zpsd3ap3upb.jpg" height="480" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
Next up is The Henchman of my crew, and Viktoria of ashes psychotic twin sister, Viktoria of Blood.<br />
A buddy of mine thought it would be cool to reverse the scheme from the other sister, I decided to run with it, and am very pleased with how they look together now. Of course I had to add some red to pay homage to her bloodthirsty nature!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o22/scottykahn/IMG_20150201_154534204_zpsoyo56gnd.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o22/scottykahn/IMG_20150201_154534204_zpsoyo56gnd.jpg" height="480" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
Now, a true shiny syndrome addiction wouldnt be complete with out jumping into multiple armies from the get go!<br />
So I decided to jump headlong into Resurrectionists. I have always had a soft spot for the nasty and always under appreciated walking dead in my miniature games, so they seemed like the right fit.<br />
( and who could pass on the awesomeness of the new, plastic Nicodem box?) <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o22/scottykahn/WIP%20log/IMG_20150123_162119060_zpspeys6qy4.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o22/scottykahn/WIP%20log/IMG_20150123_162119060_zpspeys6qy4.jpg" height="480" width="640" /></a></div>
And here is the Undead I have assembled thus far. Plus a few other Random Malifaux things I had sitting half completed.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o22/scottykahn/WIP%20log/IMG_20150127_155729508_zpsh5rrnodb.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o22/scottykahn/WIP%20log/IMG_20150127_155729508_zpsh5rrnodb.jpg" height="480" width="640" /></a></div>

Slow start this year, but I am shaking off the funk of holidays and winter in general to finally get some paint going on.<br />
First up this year is a Dark Age fig for the Skaard faction. Particularly the Toxic cult. <br />
This is Father Curwen, who just so happens to rule over all disease, sickness ans pestilence in the Dark age World.<br />
The one I have painted is a Limited edition that you can pick up at conventions, and was a commission for a friend.<br />
He was pretty fun to paint, so it makes me excited to get cracking on my own ( should have just painted them both at the same time).<br />
<br />
Let me know what you think of him, or what you may have done differently. Thanks for taking a look!<br />

Well folks, here we are again, with a huge, disgusting pause in my blog posts.<br />
Life has gotten the better of me once again, it seems. With my camera being the craps for the last good long while and some crazy medical problems going on, I really lost the motivation for a spell. <br />
<br />
Now the hobby mojo seems to be creeping back into my daily routine, and I once again feel like slinging paint!<br />
As promised in my Gen Con wrap up post, I am ready to show you some Malifaux goodies.<br />
<br />
I now have a few games under my belt for this system and it has really been a hoot! The card mechanic in Malifaux was a bit hard to get used to at first, and I always found myself searching for dice to roll. Now that I am starting to get the hang of it however, I am enjoying the game thoroughly.<br />
<br />
As is typical with me and miniature games, I am finding it difficult to stay "in faction" with my purchases. All of Wyrd's beautiful new plastic kits seem to be calling my name!<br />
I have started off with Outcasts so far, which seem to be a pretty good springboard into other factions since they are, after all, Mercenaries.<br />
<br />
My first completed fig obviously had to be the Master in my Hired Blades crew box, Viktoria of Ashes. Really an awesome fig, albeit tiny and super fiddly. Too many times I see these Malifaux crews painted extremely dark and dirty. So, I wanted to go somewhat opposite and make mine bright, with quite a bit of pop for the table top. <br />
<br />
Here she is in all her punkish glory. Let me know what you think!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o22/scottykahn/IMG_20141130_224231076_zpsg1li61ei.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o22/scottykahn/IMG_20141130_224231076_zpsg1li61ei.jpg" height="480" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o22/scottykahn/IMG_20141130_224245182_zpszupxs6xq.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o22/scottykahn/IMG_20141130_224245182_zpszupxs6xq.jpg" height="480" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
Here is a shot of my entire crew as it stands now, I have since added Ama No Zako and Killjoy for some major nastiness. Just have to get those big buggers assembled.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o22/scottykahn/WIP%20log/IMG_20141130_224835318_zpstlhi7wkr.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o22/scottykahn/WIP%20log/IMG_20141130_224835318_zpstlhi7wkr.jpg" height="480" width="640" /></a></div>
As you can see, I have gone with kind of a hodgepodege brick road style for the bases. I made the bricks from scratch and plan to make a tutorial on them in the near future.<br />
<br />
<br />
Something noteworthy about these plastic kits: While these are awesome figures, they are fairly difficult to assemble. If you are unsure of your skill assembling tiny, multi-part figures, you may want to seek out the help of a more experienced modeler. I have put together military models which make the difficulty of these pale in comparison, but I would put these up there in the top tier for difficult gaming figures. <br />
<br />
Thanks for reading!<br />

Here is the latest addition to my Morat Aggression Force army. This dude is always one of my go to troops in game so I thought he deserved a paintjob after taking to the field as a silver monstrosity one too many times.<br />
<br />
I am very happy with how he turned out. Most of my Morats are fairly colorful, but I wanted this guy to look darker and little more ominous as is fitting for the most elite regiment in the army. <br />
<br />
<br />
I'll have to snap a group pic of these guys after I finish the next one.<br />

A while back I saw a bunch of resin terrain (cant remember where) for sale online that I really loved, but it just so happens to be out of my price range, so I thought I would use it as inspiration to make some of my own similar stuff.<br />
<br />
Here are some pics of the factory I have been creating. Each stone block is cut individually from pink foam so it is not a fast process at all.<br />
I'm thinking when its done, it ought to fit great in Malifaux, Warmachine, Confrontation and RPG games.<br />
<br />
<br />
The beginning of the blocks being added to the main foam core structure.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o22/scottykahn/WIP%20log/IMG_20140309_171203_973_zpsmxsmglsr.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o22/scottykahn/WIP%20log/IMG_20140309_171203_973_zpsmxsmglsr.jpg" height="640" width="360" /></a></div>
<br />
The wood under structure that would be exposed where blocks had fallen off.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o22/scottykahn/WIP%20log/IMG_20140309_171214_142_zpsihtxvyio.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o22/scottykahn/WIP%20log/IMG_20140309_171214_142_zpsihtxvyio.jpg" height="640" width="360" /></a></div>
<br />
More blocks and the wooden surround under the roof eves.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o22/scottykahn/WIP%20log/IMG_20140309_184820_142_zpsmdseaqdi.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o22/scottykahn/WIP%20log/IMG_20140309_184820_142_zpsmdseaqdi.jpg" height="640" width="360" /></a></div>
First fully blocked in side.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o22/scottykahn/WIP%20log/IMG_20140309_221539_009_zpsk9s38syz.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o22/scottykahn/WIP%20log/IMG_20140309_221539_009_zpsk9s38syz.jpg" height="360" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
Added the doorway using square balsa dowels and a ramp to the door with a pink foam wedge.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o22/scottykahn/WIP%20log/IMG_20140322_171624_454_zpssvun3qk8.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o22/scottykahn/WIP%20log/IMG_20140322_171624_454_zpssvun3qk8.jpg" height="640" width="360" /></a></div>

<br />
Completed front and blocked steps.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o22/scottykahn/WIP%20log/IMG_20140405_140733_695_zps9lvdsvaf.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o22/scottykahn/WIP%20log/IMG_20140405_140733_695_zps9lvdsvaf.jpg" height="360" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
Added a cellar entrance and a boiler to the corner of the structure. Boiler was made with a DIY Christmas ornament.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o22/scottykahn/WIP%20log/IMG_20140405_165123_408_zpswdhg1mtq.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o22/scottykahn/WIP%20log/IMG_20140405_165123_408_zpswdhg1mtq.jpg" height="640" width="360" /></a></div>

<br />
Added small tacs to the slats for more details.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Well, you never saw WIP's of this fig because he is not a paint job of mine. A couple of friends and I decided to do a fig swap and paint each others small based fig of choice. I picked Jon Woe for my buddy John to paint. <br />
<br />
I was super stoked when I got mine back! Such a cool use of colors and great overall paint work. I asked for an awesome base since he tends to make amazing bases, and I was not disappointed in the slightest!<br />

Just a few quick WIP's of what I worked on over the last week. <br />
<br />
First up is the new Hero/ mini boss for Super dungeon explore, Ser Snapjaw(Kobold Exemplar).<br />
Decide I wanted this guy to stand out on the game board for some reason. I have really been having a good time working on him.<br />
I painted his helmet in a moment of delusional freehand craziness and almost gave up about half way through. I'm glad I pushed on as I am pleased with the result.<br />
<br />
Here he is so far.<br />
<br />
<br />
Shield. <br />

Well folks, I'm excited to inform all of you about the newest premier gaming event in Utah.<br />
The <a href="http://scgladiatorgames.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">Salt City Gladiator Games! </a><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://scgladiatorgames.blogspot.com/" target="_blank"><img alt="http://scgladiatorgames.blogspot.com/" border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEilvRZS_40uWSIJd1YxKUwuYr5eWeVR139e-28H7nu0u-34CidUl2RgqKyh-kl5wwLzAySeTrxx8KTlDDFdMhO7E3Pc0IZ72-qBIUSSu9pM_WGHyPAJYKemVsASaeza4eB1T2MCe9NqBymV/s1600/scgg_Weekend.jpg" height="400" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
Utah and all of the surrounding states have always lacked a good tabletop gaming convention, so a group of us locals are out to remedy that.<br />
<br />
With Warhammer 40K, Warmachine and Hordes and Magic the gathering rounding out the big events, we will also have Malifaux tournaments, Dark Age events, an Infinity ITS tournament and the Salty Dwarf painting competition.!<br />
<br />
Here is a copy and pasted list on the top ten reasons you should attend!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<b>1. Two full days of tabletop gaming</b></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
What more can one ask for, right? There isn't an event like this in the
state that offers you two great days of having fun with the hobby that
you love. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<b><br /></b></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<b>2. Random prizes</b></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Each person who attends one of the events has the opportunity to receive
one of the random prizes we'll be giving through out the day. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<b><br /></b></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<b>3. Cash prizes</b></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
There will be cash prizes for those who place well in the Warmachine
Masters, 40K tournament, and Salty Dwarf Painting Competition. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<b><br /></b></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<b>4. Trophies</b></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
We'll have first year trophies for each Warmachine event, 40K, and Salty Dwarf Painting Competition.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<b><br /></b></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<b>5. Meeting new people</b></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
This event is looking to gather folks from around the state and a few
from surrounding states. A perfect opportunity to meet new people and
talk about the hobby. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<b><br /></b></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<b>6. Really great price</b></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Our event is pretty inexpensive to attend and you'll be getting a lot
more back in return. Most other events will have you paying $50+ to get
in the door plus an added charge for events. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<b><br /></b></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<b>7. Help build the community</b></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
This is a community event and we want the community to benefit from most
of all. The Salt City Gladiators are non profit and we are working very
hard with the local game stores to help build this event into something
amazing.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<b><br /></b></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<b>8. Exposure to new games</b></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Our Open Play Area will be available for anyone who wants to bring in a
new game to demo or hold a smaller tournament. Right now we have
Malifaux and Infinity the Game setting up events. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<b><br /></b></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<b>9. Competitive and non Competitive events</b></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Most people we talk to believe that they'll just get rolled over by
super competitive players at this event, but that's not really the case.
We'll have players of all skill level and experience at this event and
we have events that are not geared toward heavy competitive play. You
wont know how good you are unless you attend. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<b><br /></b></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<b>10. Be part of the first year</b></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
It's always great to be on the ground floor of something new. Look at
how well Salt Lake Comic Con did at their first event. Ten years down
the road you can gladly tell your friends that you were there at
the Salt City Gladiator Games first year, the year everything changed in
the world of tabletop play in Utah. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
So Spread the word folks. Make sure and come if you can, this will be an awesome event! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>

Worked on this guy for a long time and just couldnt make myself happy with how he was turning out. I had originally just gone with a black helmet on him and hated it. So, he sat half painted for months.<br />
Brainstorming with some friends one day made me realize that he needed more pop, something to set him aside as a somewhat important character in the games he was used in. Thus, the Lava helmet cam about.<br />
Pretty happy with him now!<br />

Found a few minutes to put the finishing touches on this one. She can now go off to the new owner.<br />
I like how she turned out quite a bit, the little bones on the base(mouse bones) were sort of an afterthought, but I am glad I included them. Helps reinforce the post apocalyptic setting for the fig. <br />

Here are a few WIPS I have been throwing some paint at over the last little while.<br />
<br />
First up is Blazon for the Skaard faction in Dark Age.<br />
This one is unfortunately not for me. I'm painting it up for a friend who hooked me up with a limited edition fig as payment. She should be done very soon now.<br />
<br />
From oldest to most recent.<br />

<br />
<br />
And Now for MONGO!!<br />
Probably one of my favorite figs of all time.<br />
<br />
I am fairly pleased with my homebrew base on this one.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o22/scottykahn/WIP%20log/IMG_20140826_103707_266_zpsnseafpui.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o22/scottykahn/WIP%20log/IMG_20140826_103707_266_zpsnseafpui.jpg" height="480" width="640" /></a></div>

<br />
<br />
Last in the lineup is Francisco Vargas, for the Westerners in Helldorado.<br />
Freaking love this whole line of figs!<br />
<br />
<br />
Planning on giving this guy freehand galore if my nerves can handle it. He is rather small.<br />
Again, I am happy with this guys base. Base-building seems to be turning into a whole little side hobby for me.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o22/scottykahn/WIP%20log/IMG_20140826_103907_302_zpsjez68hoe.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o22/scottykahn/WIP%20log/IMG_20140826_103907_302_zpsjez68hoe.jpg" height="640" width="480" /></a></div>
<br />
Let me know what you think of these guys so far. Have any awesome ideas I ought to incorporate into them?<br />
Thanks for having a look!</div>

Well folks, I recently returned from Gen con, and I gotta say barring some minor travel problems, it was a freakin blast! I don't have a ton of pics from the con to show you here but if you are interested, my groups pictures can be found on the <a href="https://www.facebook.com/pages/The-Geek-Garage/258876137498179" target="_blank">Geek Garage Facebook page</a> .<br />
<br />
My overall impression of the myriad of Miniature gaming booths is a mixed one. Some were great and a few were a little on the lacking side. <br />
<br />
In my opinion, the Wyrd booth takes the cake as the best overall. Really awesome staff and a nice wide open area to peruse all of their wares. The new plastic sets are to die for, really some of the best new figs I have seen released in a while!<br />
Of course, because of their level of awesome, I jumped into Malifaux 2E with both feet. Look for some terrain and my Viktorias crew to be on the blog in the very near future. <br />
<br />
Ninja Division was partnered up with Hawk Wargames in the same booth location, and I must say that was a very powerful combo. So much great stuff is coming out of both of those companies right now. Of course with that amount of coolness, the booth was jam packed the whole weekend. I made sure to snag my Super Dungeon explore con exclusives, and I will be picking up one of the new Drop Zone Commander starters very soon!(most likely PHR)<br />
<br />
Cool Mini or not definitely saw some of my Gen Con funds. The new Dark Age stuff was just too sexy to pass up. Its nice to see Dark Age get some much needed attention and watch all the beautiful new sculpts roll out. This was yet another booth that was absolutely packed the entire time. Those Zombicide fans are bonkers! <br />
<br />
Pretty surprisingly, none of my group hit up the Wild West Exodus booth at all. I know I for one had great expectations for this game, but the prices on the figs have already climbed prohibitively high for a family man such as myself. I think that turned off my entire group from making them a high priority.<br />
<br />
Of course we cant forget the Warstore booth. Always have to stop and see what they have got on clearance. I was not disappointed and was able to Snag some Mierce miniatures figs at crazy deep discounts. <br />
<br />
Of course there were dozens of other booths there, but these ones stuck in my memory the most. <br />
<br />
And now for a few pics of the most recent Dark Age stuff I have finished. Can ya tell Gen con has my Dark Age love rekindled? <br />
<br />
Again, you'll have to excuse my crap pics for now. I'll have a new phone within the next month or so!<br />
<br />
<br />
First up are some ravages for my Forsaken lists. I know some people don't dig these older sculpts, but they definitely hold a special spot in my heart. That and they are single piece figs! Doesn't get better than that. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o22/scottykahn/IMG_20140826_103157_211_zpscrqsssh8.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o22/scottykahn/IMG_20140826_103157_211_zpscrqsssh8.jpg" height="480" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o22/scottykahn/IMG_20140826_103223_165_zpsqdxhibis.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o22/scottykahn/IMG_20140826_103223_165_zpsqdxhibis.jpg" height="480" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
Next up are the Buzzblades tthat I have been trying to churn out. I need a grundle of these guys for games, so I'm not trying to be too fancy with them.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o22/scottykahn/IMG_20140826_103051_403_zpsoigwmyam.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o22/scottykahn/IMG_20140826_103051_403_zpsoigwmyam.jpg" height="480" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Wow! way too long without a post! Shame on me! Hobby time has been cut severely short as of late,and my poor blog suffers for it.<br />
I was a big fat failure on the 15 day challenge from my last post, and only made it 8 days in. I made a ton of progress on a myriad of projects, but just couldnt hold it together for the whole term.<br />
Next time I take that on I may shoot for a ten day stint. Seems a little more doable, dont ya think? <br />
<br />
I have done a few hobby things since then and even finished a figure for a contest on the new(ish) Infinity podcast, <a href="http://mayacast.com/" target="_blank">MAYACAST.</a><br />
It is a great little show to listen to while you paint, by the way.<br />
<br />
I hadn't planned to enter the contest until the ribbing of my buddies got to me, and I busted out the fig in 5 hours straight! Might be a new record for me. <br />
After all was said and done, I didnt win the contest, as there were a ton of stellar entries but it's always awesome to have that kind of turn out for a painting contest! <br />
<br />
<br />
Here is my Yaogat strike leader. Sorry for the garbage pics. My phone did an update, went crazy and now it does everything awfully, including taking pictures. :( <br />
