Memory lane: Bane Thralls

Well, I do believe this is one of the first units I ever completed. I was oh so happy with how they turned out, thought I had nailed that freehand and I was just so mega awesome!! ;)

Well fast forward 6 to 7 years and the paint on these guys is looking pretty dated now. I'll still throw them down in a game when I get the chance though...I mean, because, they are painted after all.
I would like a crack at the new sculpts of these guys, as I think they look even cooler than the old ones. A feat which I thought impossible at the time I was painting these.

Thanks for taking a look!

Wild West Exodus: Cole Younger and first Hired hand complete.

Found a bit of time to finish up both of these buggers. On one hand, I'm not too happy with how Cole turned out but the Hired hand came out better than I expected him to. The green jacket was just a random selection but I like how it ended up looking.

The bases on these guys are just made from cut slats of balsa wood that I weathered with a wire brush. Some Army Painter grass tufts finished them off.

Have another few Hired Hands in the works now, and pretty soon I need to start on some terrain for this game as the rules seem to rely on it pretty heavily.

Recent WIP's: Wild West Exodus.

Thought I'd show you Some of the stuff I have been working on over the last little while.

Here are some WIP's from my recently received Wild West Exodus Kickstarter. I was hesitant to jump on at first, but decided I had better since I had a few buddies doing the same.I have never been a huge fan of Wild West stuff in general, and since the digital pics of the figs were not looking all that stellar, it took some convincing.
When I recived my package I was very pleasntly surprised! The figs were better than expected, and now that I have a game under my belt, I can say the mechanics arent too shabby either. Hooray!

I pledged for both the Outlaws and the Enlightened. After a look over of the rules and figs, I have decided to sell off the Enlightened and stick with just the single faction. I may never get them all painted otherwise!

Now, pics!

Long range Hired Hand
Cole Younger and his Red hat!
And a little further along.

So.....uh...back again! With 100% more Super Dungeon Explore

So, I guess this is going to be a normal thing for me. Just call me the king of flip flopping! I yet again have the drive to work on my own blog!

This time I'll just have to realize that I cant always keep Scotty's Workshop updated, and even after a long hiatus from the hobbying world, I can still come back and pick things back up.
I guess I just like this place too much to go away for long.

I have had an awful lot of Hobby projects going for the past while and now seems like as good a time as ever to share them with you!
After this rambling gibberish, I had better leave with something of value to gander at.

So, here is my Progress on my Super Dungeon Explore figs so far. I have mostly been working on the Von Drak manor stuff, as it really hearkens back to playing Castlavania 2, Simon's Quest! Loved that game, and wasted endless hours playing it over and over again, so this SDE set was a very welcome addition indeed!

Skull Bats
Dust mage
Dread Knights (my faves)
Paladin
Group shot, because you know I love em!

I have a few more which are very near completion now. Look forward to those soon!
